Mikki Barker, Designer
   Abingdon, Virginia

I've been in advertising design for over 20 years, newspaper, yellow pages and publishing. In 1996 with the closure of McFarland Graphix I faced starting over. I saw the future of marketing on the internet. I took my design skills and studied to become a web designer.

My first business, 24k Graphix LLC was founded in 2000. Five years later I was recruited by a state organization as an e-commerce consultant to small businesses through out Southwest Virginia. Unfortunately due to budget cuts I was laid off on January 1, 2010.

I'm back in business!

As of the beginning of 2010 I started Web Concepts LLC.

During my time working in Southwest Virginia I realized the average small business simply can't afford the inflated web development fees traditionally charged by developers.

I'm not the developer for the huge corporations, I'm here for the small businessperson. The business owner that has no idea what the internet is, but knows he needs to be on it.

My price structure was developed to make it possible for every small business to have a quality web presence they can afford.

I prefer working one-on-one with my clients, I believe it results in a more effective web site. I especially enjoy working with small business. They have the most to gain and I love being part of it.
